Baphomet (USA) demo 1988

Again rather rare Black Metal demo from 1988. This time the lads call themselves Baphomet and demo is called "Children of Doom". Through the metal history there has been many bands called Baphomet: one band from USA released "Dead Shall Inherit" album some years later, there was also deathcore Baphomet in Brazil and maybe somewhere else too. These guys here played rather controlled blackish thrash metal. I have never ever seen any articles or features of this band anywhere. So the question remains: who were they?
Some cool band shots: Blasphemy anno 1989, Morbid Angel anno 1989 and Slaughter Lord anno 1986.

Wind Of Mayhem (Bel)

"When THE WIND OF MAYHEM whispers through the vale of tears and death..." announced Bathory anno 1985. Here we have rather unknown Belgian black/death horde named Wind Of Mayhem. Primitive and raw stuff. One of my faves. What was the year again: 1987 or 1988?
Another essential early Sodom feature.

Poison collection

Poison name and music does not need any introduction to any serious black/speed/thrash/glam freak. We speak about German Poison here. On the picture one can see their first 3 demos ( "Sons of Evil" - 1984, "Bestial Death" - 1985 and "Awakening of the Dead" - 1986) and some photos (which were used on "Further down into the abyss" compilation album, just open the gatefold cover and you see them!)... yeah the name Boyzone sounds quite close to Poison too.

Infernal Death "Incantations of the Gate" demo 1989

Infernal Death 1989 demo promopackage. Black Metal from time when it was literally dead (for the masses)...

Some neat flyers...

Malfeitor (USA)

Malfeitor (USA) was pretty cool speed/deathcore act in the vein of Kreator and Slaughter Lord. Some years ago their 1987 demo was released also on 7"EP. The very same tape on the picture was also the source for vinyl release.

Xecutioner and Obituary "Slowly we Rot" LP

Holy crap its HEAVY here. I just love Obituary "Slowly we rot" album (and everything they did between 1986-89). This album changed a lot when I heard it first time in 1990. Death Metal at its best!
On the picture: some magazines featuring early Obituary, Roadrunner press kit for "Slowly we Rot", Obituary "Slowly We Rot" LP 1989, Executioner "Metal up your ass" PicEP (bootleg), Executioner "Metal up your ass" EP 1985, Obituary promo photo (1989), compilation album "Raging Death" (1987) featuring Xecutioner tracks "Find the Arise" and "Like the Dead" (death metal at its best!), Obituary "Cause of Death" LP 1990 (some 3-4 good tracks, otherwise let-down!), Obituary "Slowly we Rot" LP re-issue.

Sadistikally Exekuted

It was pretty cool when I got in contact with lady who lived together with Sadistik Exekution guys around 1986/87. It was her who sent me great Sadistik Exekution tape which nowadays is referred as demo 1987. She was present there when the band recorded it. And on my tape there is even some extra drum solo stuff included which is missing from tapetrade circuit recordings. Thanks for Nomenclature Diablerie demo as well. Neat stuff! Highly appreciated here.
Crossword question from 1990: What band makes Deicide and Morbid Angel sound like James Last and Richard Clyderman?

Salem "Destruction till Death" demo

I was very happy when "Ramses" offered me something from my long-time top-priority of ancient black/death metal wantlist: Salem (Isr) "Destruction till Death" demo. Needless to say I was even more happy when I received the package. Besides the aforementioned demo he had also included (without mentioning it in the first place) the whole set as he got it sometimes 1988 or so: Letter from Zeev, Salem biography sheet, 2 live photos, 1 band photo, 7 Destruction till Death era posters. This "Millions Slaughtered" demo and T-shirt on the picture came from another source (shirt from the band though). Yeah, sometimes you just are lucky!
